Homophobia in Games?
Though I’ve not talked about it here yet, I am an avid fan of modern board games. They come in many forms and I can talk about them for hours on end; drop me an email if you’re at all interested.
This week I can across a thread on BoardGameGeek wondering if a soon-to-be-released reprint of a game was ‘homophobic’. There were some inaccurate notions about how the game was originally printed that led to the original poster thinking a deliberate change was made. If in fact his incorrect assumptions were true, then yes, I would be really bummed about how they had changed the game in this new edition, but they weren’t, and I don’t find the game as it stands to be homophobic at all.

Returning from the Ashes…..
I’m reviving my blog after almost 19 months of inactivity. I’m very happy with the few blog entries I made, but I wasn’t able to post with the regularity that I had hoped for. Writing doesn’t come easy for me, so I tended to be over-cautious in my posting. The consequences of that were really long intervals between postings and my hesitancy to post something new because I didn’t have the time to do it “right”.
I am going to try and change how I do my posting, though, so that I can do more of it. The posts will likely be shorter and much more topical. I had been planning on doing this for a while now, but my blog did not survive a server re-imaging from the beginning of this year, and I’m just now getting it back up (with different software, but I have the archives from the old blog). I’m still fooling around with the look of things, so expect the colors and what-not to change around a little.

Larry Craig - Scorn or Pity?

Seven-month hiatus
I haven't posted in 7 months because I haven't come across something I felt strong enough about that was also appropriate for the blog. There are plenty of things I could spout off about, but I want this blog to be about educating people, not just ranting randomly. I felt some distress in that long expanse that my little project was “dying”, but I resisted the urge to post on a topic I didn't think was really good enough. I'm glad I resisted that urge. Expect a posting soon….

Super Bowl Snickers — Not So Funny…..
